Getting Married

[Robert: "Mother told me that Dad went over to Kenneth's house and that is how they first met. Then they ended up going to the same sunday school. Mother taught dad how to play the violin. Orma taught dad how to play the piano. Then they got better acquainted and finally ended up in love and got married."]
[Linus: "We were married in a Methodist Parsonage in Kansas City by the Methodist minister. His name was Moore. His son was the fellow who sold marriage licenses. I went to the place where you buy marriage licenses and I found that I couldn't get the licenses without Virgie being there. She hadn't come to Kansas City yet. But he was very helpful. He said his dad was a Methodist minister and he would come out to the parsonage and bring the marriage licenses."
"Virgie and her Mother registered at the Muhlbach. I was unable to get a room at the Muhlbach, so I registered at a smaller hotel nearer to the depot. After we were married, they checked out and we went down to my hotel and checked them in. I gave up my room and we all three checked into a room with one single and one double bed. That is kind of odd. Her mother was apparently afraid to sleep in a room by herself. So we all slept in the same room."]
