Date Pinwheel Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3.5 cups flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup margarine or butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon water
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

Cream sugars and butter. Add beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Roll dough out 1/2-inch thick.

FILLING: Combine ingredients in saucepan and cook until thick. Cool and add chopped nuts. Spread on rolled out dough and roll up like jelly roll. Chill overnight.

Slice and bake at 3500 until light brown.
