Wash, peel and core at least 8 apples.
Slice into a large sauce pan and add a TBSP of butter, 3 TBSP flour, 1 tsp cinnamon and a cup or less of sugar or brown sugar or any blend, thereof.
I like to cook down the apples just a little because I like my apples more done.
Don't over do it or you will have apple sauce. I still like it better than uncooked apples in an apple pie.
Bake for 45 min. to an hour at 350 degrees.
Add a few raisins to the apple mixture (+ or - 1/4 cup).
After pie is baked and cooled, frost crust with a little butter cream frosting or vanilla frosting or this mixture:
1 cup confectioner's sugar, 1 TBSP butter, 1 tsp pure vanilla flavoring and a drop of milk until the consistency you like for frosting.
It's OK if the pie's a little warm and melts the frosting. Then, it's a nice glaze instead.
