Pizza Dough (Bread Machine)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 0.25 cup olive oil

Instructions

In the bread machine pan, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes, until the yeast is foamy.

Add the salt, all-purpose flour, bread flour, and olive oil to the bread machine pan. Set the bread machine to the dough cycle and press start.

When the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the bread machine pan and place it on a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for a few minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Punch down the dough and divide it in half. Roll out each half into a 12-inch circle.

Place the dough on a greased baking sheet and top with your favorite pizza toppings. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
