Walnut Fruitcake

Ingredients

  • 0.75 cup flour
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups walnuts
  • 2 packages dates, pitted
  • 1 jar (10 oz. drained) mandarin cherries
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add in walnuts, dates, and mandarin cherries.

Beat eggs in a separate bowl and add to the dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla.

Pour batter into a greased tube pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours.

Let cool completely before frosting.
